This position's job duties will include various levels of maintenance by maintaining buildings, grounds and various utilities systems and services.

Repair mechanical equipment in compliance with building and safety codes throughout the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responds to and completes resident work orders ensuring quality of service to maximum resident satisfaction.

Performs work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned.

Performs general maintenance projects as assigned including installations and repairs involving plumbing and electrical equipment, carpentry work, painting, equipment repair, snow removal and outside landscaping maintenance.

Maintains office, shop, storage and mechanical areas.

Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, preservation of equipment and the achievement of safe working practices.

Maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information.

Must be able to work under all types of weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, etc.).

Provide weekend and after hour building coverage on an on-call basis as assigned.

·         Examines and gives emergency treatment to residents and/or personnel involved in accidents, notifies physician/family and DON, ADON or ON Call Manager and completes investigation report

·         Accompanies physician on rounds and assists with examinations and treatments

·         Encourages participation of all staff in the overall Plan of Care for each resident

REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate of an approved school of nursing for RN/LPN

Essential Functions

Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in health care administration, health services administration, long term care administration or related field

Three years management experience in long term care or a senior living environment

Knowledge of best practices in dementia care and ability to implement
